I recently did a post on my relationship with printers, and HP South Africa have been nice enough to provide me with one to give away here. It is the HP Deskjet Ink Advantage 4645 2- All-in-One Printer which goes for the RRP of R1,599 in South Africa. A great printer for home or small business, it is web-connected, which means you can:
- ePrint – print by emailing to your printer’s email address, as long as it is connected
- Apps – can print from smartphone or tablet using HP All-In-One Remote app or access digital content through the printer’s control panel
- ePrintCenter – use any web browser to access printer status, manage settings and print apps, etc
- Wireless – can print wirelessly from the vicinity of the printer without a wireless network
HP state that other features/specifications include:
- Print speed – 8.8 pages per minute in black and 5.2 pages per minute in colour
- Print cost – up to two times the pages for the same cost.
- Scan/Fax/Copy – Load stacks of papers using the built-in 35-sheet automatic document feeder
- Photographs – print borderless, lab-quality photos
I have been using one in my home office for about two months and I can comfortably state that I haven’t had any issues with it.

I’m an unemployed graduate who is actively searching for a job. I would use the HP printer to scan and fax my documents to job recruitement agencies and advertisers , it would save me time and money of going to the internet cafe where printing, scanning,photocoping and emailing is quite costly. I would also assist other people who are in need of printing, scanning and emailing in my neighbourhood so they won’t have to go as far as to town to have excess to such.
I will print pamphlets and business cards for friends who are trying but struggling ti run small businesses. I will also print photos for family and friends.
My husband and I always are receiving documents on consultations that he runs which at times I assist with and also for the children’s school projects and research

Hi,I would use the printer for my kids assignments,grade4 and grade6.
I would use it for my small business as much as I am the paperless kind of guy – not everyone else is and it can get a little bit expensive or either you wait for everyone to leave work to print those documents. Having a printer at home can save me time because if I make a mistake i have to reprint the document and sometimes you dont have the time to do so.

I’d use the HP printer to print out my assignments as I struggle all the time, where I have to go to print out on due dates and due to financial problems too. And most importantly, I’d use it to print out my first manuscript, yes you heard me, my first manuscript. this is a really lekker prize to win. I would print the tons of photos I have of my precious children and our family photos. Some for framing for our home and some for my scrapbooking projects that have been on hold until I have acquired a printer 🙂 I love creating my own collages of photos.

Clearly the universe is hinting I should get this. Recently launched my kiddies party decor business without funding and a printer at home would work wonders for personalizing the decor. Creating party pack stickers, printing my flyers, bunting and name pieces.

We so need a new printer at our office, we run a small business in Jozi and our dinosaur has given up! Would love to have the option of printing from our phones and being able to connect wirelessly, this would change our lives! Holding fingers.
I will be using the print to help my younger sister with her projects and printing out her assignments.
It will also be used to print family & friends photos.
I am currently studying towards my honors so I would definitely use the printer for my studies, also I just got married and got back from our Honeymoon in Thailand so I have loads of pictures that I would love to print and store in an album.
