Tomorrow, June 26th, at 14h30 South African time, I will be streaming their Men SS 2015 fashion show which is happening at Serre Parc André Citroën in Paris and the video will be available to watch once the show is done. Louis Vuitton fascinates me. I have posted on them before, from the video they did with Yasiin Bey (on Muhammed Ali) and The Trunk, a book of short stories to streaming their fashion shows. They continue to delve into spaces and do things that engage with storytelling in an interesting way. In 1936, Gaston-Louis Vuitton took control of the luggage making company that his grandfather had created. He was known to be a collector of stories from newspapers and the like, that incorporated the trunk, which he kept in a Louis Vuitton trunk. Earlier this year, Louis Vuitton, with French publisher Gallimard, released an anthology of short stories written by 11 French writers, drawing from Gaston-Louis' collections.
