Jay Electronica is probably one of the most fascinating characters to enter the realm of hip hop. The trajectory of any artist is to put their music out there, build a sustainable career (although with some of these people out here, one does wonder), and go from there. But, the New Orleans native, who was born Timothy Elpadaro Thedford, has had hip hop fans anxiously waiting for an album for over half a decade now, especially after the tracks Exhibit A and Exhibit C, both produced by Just Blaze, were released in 2009. The closest we’ve come to an album is the compilation What The F#@k Is A Jay Electronica.
The Debut Album That Will Be…
When he signed to Jay Z’s Roc Nation in 2010, we all expected the album to follow shortly, instead he’s continue to tease us incessantly with the occasional single or features on other people’s tracks. And, since 2011, he’s stated that his first album is done but still nothing. Earlier this year, he released the track list for Act II: Patents of The Nobility (The Turn):

Definitely 1 of the best MC’s at the moment. must be about 5 years now that we are waiting for the album, but the odd singles dropped here and there are enough to keep us patient. he is part of a higher intelligence and pays great attention to the literature he puts on wax. Love him.?
