as an artist, the power of collaboration can never be under-stated. i do not get the opportunity to do much of it. a friend, nique88888, is an iphoneographer and has been chasing me about writing some random words inspired by his images – the pictures are inspiring, the problem has been with the writer. recently, nique twitpic’d the chess.master and, without much thought, i scribbled a couple of words. he seemed to like them and did me honour of posting my words on his site. i am doing the same with his image and, hopefully, we will have a lot more in future. your thoughts would be appreciated. i think he takes some amazing pictures.

he held all answers ... a life lived wholeheartedly ... and now he watches it go by ...

I agree with Lyrical Bacteria! I love it when writers & visual artists interact; I think we build on each other’s creativity. Keep up the good work, Kojo!

Sure. Next time I am down, we must connect. Would love to see what you are working on.

Thanks Rochelle. I must admit Nique has been on my case & I have been the problem. I definitely agree that we build on each other’s creativity. I often find it gives me the spark when struggling. Isolation often creates staleness.

If I were to have a crack at it, I would go:

So much for thinking it would get any better – another failed meeting.
And yet he knew, it wasn’t checkmate, yet. Life had to go on.
